The Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens Small Explorers program  offers fun and educational opportunities for very young children…18 months to 5 year olds.
Let our Education / Visitors Services Officer, Maya Harrison, take you and your small children to special areas of the gardens to explore…
‘Wildlife in the Gardens’…  Children are able to find, watch and inspect insects and animals. See how they move, check out their homes, their life cycles, their features and characteristics. This session can include story reading and information books
Get fascinated by the creatures that help our gardens thrive.

This event will be part of the C.Q. University students Under 8’s Week activities being held in the Botanic Gardens 9.30 – 11.30am on Monday 30th April on the Tropical Sun Lawn, Botanic Gardens.
Under 8’s week theme is…” Language  - actively connecting children through their world through their senses”.
