Friends of the Gardens 'Daisy Day Planting Bee'

We want to have a sea of Golden Everlasting Daises Xerochrysum bracteatum to view from the Lagoons Outlook Deck.

Join in the Daisy Day Planting Bee on Wednesday 3rd June starting at 7.00 - 7.30am

Community members most welcome.

This is a special project where our Volunteer Garden Friends can assist the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens staff give the area below the Lagoons Café (where the pink Cassia javanica tree was) a bright and sunny new look.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to volunteer their time during the week and who like to get up as early as the birds!
If you don't get up that early, and you intend to come along to the Friends Meeting Place at 9.00am, you might like to join in then. There are lots of daisies to plant…
For more information or to RSVP your attendance … email us at botanic@mackay.qld.gov.au or phone 49527300 or visit the Botanic Gardens website on www.mackayregionalbotanicgardens.com.au  to see what else we are up too.
