Turtles spotted!

Its turtle nesting season! Our female Freshwater Turtles, (Emydura macquarii) have been seen along pathways and in our garden beds as nesting has begun!

Female turtles will leave the Lagoons to find a suitable spot in the gardens to lay their clutch of eggs which consists up to 15 eggs per female.

Nesting season usually occurs between Spring to early Summer.

If you are lucky enough to witness a turtle laying her eggs, we do ask that you help us to look after them by admiring from a distance and keep your dogs on a lead at all times so turtles are not disturbed and are kept safe.
