 | - Gardens Administration is open weekdays from 9am until 5pm.
- Gardens Friends staff the Administration reception desk most Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm and most Sundays from 11am to 2pm.
- The Lagoons Cafe & Gallery is open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 3pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Ph: 4952 4966 for bookings.
- The fenced Tropical Shade Garden (the only fenced gardens area), adjacent to Administration, is open weekdays from 9am until 5pm, weekends from 9am until 4pm. The Fernery is open weekdays from 9am until 5pm and weekends when Gardens Friends staff the reception desk.
- The toilet facilities at the Visitors Centre on Lagoon Street are open daily from 6:30am until 7:30pm. Toilets are also located at the Mackay Tourist Information Centre adjacent to the Ram Chandra Place southern entrance to the Botanic Gardens, open daily.
- It's recommended to visit the Gardens when major arterial pathways are lit from 4:30am until 12am.
- Staff and security are located on the grounds every day.
