Simple and elegant, the Lagoon‘s Cafe is Mackay's unique garden and gallery cafe.
Lagoon‘s Cafe food celebrates seasonal changes, stirs the senses and is the place to plan your gardens visit. Just relax or take in the view and local wildlife from the shady al fresco deck.
Enjoy monthly exhibitions with an environmental or cultural theme in the air-conditioned Lagoon’s Interpretative Gallery, or plan a gardens escape.
Weekend visits also offer breakfast and delightful afternoon high teas. Visitors to the gardens are also welcome to bring their own picnic lunches and snacks and enjoy a picnic out in the gardens anytime.

Opening hours
- Wednesday to Friday 10am until 3pm (closed Monday and Tuesday).
- Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm
- High tea is available. Bookings are recommended and can be made by contacting Lagoons Cafe.
- Catering for coaches and large group bookings can also be made upon request.
