Our first Free Friday Special Guided Walk: Up Close and Personal with Nature

Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens on Friday, April 5 from 9.30am – 11.00am.
Join Maya Harrison and Pam Finlay and be lead down the Garden’s paths to see Nature up close with the use of Anna-lupes, hand lenses and Magnifying glasses during your informative stroll through the picturesque Botanic Gardens.

Not only will we view real flowers and plants, but Pam Finlay, who depicts fragments of flowers from a microscopic perspective in her artworks will be available in a ‘Meet the Artist session’ at 11.00am to show us her exhibition titled “Glory  - The Full Manifestation” in the Lagoon’s Gallery.

Pam will later demonstrate how she captures the essence of a flower and transforms it to canvas.

Come along for a blending of nature and art, up close and personal.

Let us know if you wish to come along by contacting the Botanic Gardens and booking the date with us or meet us at the Administration Building / The Garden’s Shop just before 9.30am.
