“Cape Hillsborough Highlights” & Annual General Meeting 
Botanic Gardens Meeting Room   Tuesday June 19:  7.30 pm: 

The Guest Speaker for the evening will be John Atkinson. "Cape Hillsborough Highlights” will be the topic for the evening and using a slide show of fantastic photos, John is sure to entertain with his broad smile as he talks enthusiastically about the flora, fauna and different walks at Cape Hillsborough. John is a Conservation Officer with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, has a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management and has been in Mackay for 3 years, with a previous 2 years in Carnarvon Gorge and has a passion for photography. The general community is welcome to attend and enjoy this talk.

For the very short A.G.M., nominations are needed for president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and three committee members. The work is not onerous and a variety of skills and tasks can be utilized or even developed, so please put your hand up if you are willing to be a part of the executive.
The financial year for Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens Friends Association runs from May 2011 to April 2012, which means that annual memberships are now due. You do not need to renew your membership if you joined after November last year.
