An inflorescence is a group or cluster of flowers arranged on a stem that is composed of a main branch or a complicated arrangement of branches. The complete flower head / inflorescence of a plant include stems, stalks, bracts and flowers.

Photography, paintings, mixed media and weaving will highlight different inflorescence types found in nature. Just like inflorescences attracts pollinators (bees etc), Maya hopes to attract your attention via large bold installations to learn a little about - inflorescences.

Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens Lagoons Gallery is open Wednesday to Friday 10am – 3pm and weekends from 9am - 4pm.
