Improvements to Tamarind Carpark

Please be advised that throughout February, March 2011 (weather permitting), the Tamarind Carpark (near the children’s “Under the Banyan” PlayGarden) at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens will be reformed and sealed. During this period the carpark may be closed and on street parking will increase during this period.

These works are part of the ongoing improvements by Mackay Regional Council to the Botanic Gardens, in line with the recently announced Master Plan 2010, available on the botanic gardens website www.mackayregionalbotanicgardens.com.au and available for viewing at Gardens Administration.

Sealing and reforming of the carpark will reduce dust and rainwater pooling and will allow better maintenance of the area by the Botanic Gardens. You patience during the predicted construction period is appreciated.
