“History in the Gardens” Special Free Friday Guided Walk:
Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens…  Friday June 8th   9.30am – 11.00am

Join Maya and visit the Lagoons Gallery to view “The Mates Exhibition 2” which is displaying paintings of Mackay’s historical buildings, landmarks and industry by Roy Huff and Merv Nairn and then be lead down the Garden’s paths to see historical elements which have been incorporated in the Garden’s design during your informative stroll through the picturesque Botanic Gardens. 
This walk will be a pleasant introduction to another Mackay150 walk with Historian, Berenice Wright on Sunday June 17th   9.30am – 11.00am, starting at the Botanic Garden Lagoons Café and including the Heritage Gardens.
Let us know if you wish to come along by contacting the Botanic Gardens and booking the date with us or meet us at the Administration Building / The Garden’s Shop just before 9.30am.
