Friends of the Gardens Guided Walk: “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”

Join the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens ‘Friends of the Gardens’ on a walk and talk with other bird lovers, twitches and members of Birdlife Mackay on Saturday, August 11 from 10am -2pm.

This Guided Walk will be celebrating the design and installation of 2 new Bird Identification signs, one at the Eulamere shelter and the other at the Kaliguil shelter on the edge of the Botanic Gardens lagoon and will certainly include bird watching opportunities.

The walk will be followed by BBQ lunch. We ask participants to bring along a plate of salad or dessert to share and your own alcoholic drinks (if you want them).  Meat, rolls, soft drink, tea and coffee will be provided. We will meet at the Admin building at 10 am.

Cost: free.

RSVP ESSENTIAL to Gardens Administration on 4952 7300 or email botanic@mackay.qld.gov.au.
