Friends of the Gardens ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Update: New Presenters "Take a Walk on the Wildside" with John Atkinson and Jules Holland.

Alas Dale Arvidsson is unable to present due to ill health, but we will have another energetic and interesting presentation from John Atkinson and Jules Holland. Both presenters are Rangers with Parks and Wildlife and also the organisers / artists of the exhibition "World Ranger Day" to be held in Lagoons Gallery during the Festival of Arts (July). They are both passionate about the wild places they see and aim to protect and their presentation will show you some of those wild places and the creatures they meet in their roles as rangers and what has inspired them to showcase such in their artworks / photography. I'm sure this will be an entertaining romp and stomp through familiar National Parks and swell your enthusiasm for nature and its wonders.
 
For the very short A.G.M., nominations are needed for president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and three committee members. The work is not onerous and a variety of skills and tasks can be utilized or even developed, so please put your hand up if you are willing to be a part of the committee. New members are most welcome and becoming a committee member rather than an executive member may be less daunting.  Nomination forms are available at Gardens Administration or we can email you one.

The financial year for Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens Friends Association runs from May 2014 to April 2015, which means that annual memberships are now due. You do not need to renew your membership if you joined after November last year. Supper will be served during the evening.
