Donate to the Gardens

You can be an ongoing part of the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens by making a donation towards one of our many programs.

Funds can be provided to plant trees, install new seats and provide wonderful interpretative signage.

100% of every contribution goes directly to projects within the Gardens.

There are a number of guidelines that we follow to accept donations – please view our Donations Policy to let you know which donation we can accept and what we can direct these donations towards.

The Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens may also accept donations towards the living collection with plants, seeds and cuttings upon approval of the Curator.

Please note that we may not be able to accept every donation but we appreciate your thoughts to donate.

For more information about making a donation and what projects your donation will support please contact Gardens Administration on (07) 4952 7300 or email botanic@mackay.qld.gov.au

Donate to Friends' projects

The Gardens Friends raise funds towards special projects at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens.

A donation post is located at the main entrance to the Gardens Visitors Centre at the Cremorne carpark at 9 Lagoon Street and at the entrance to the Botanic Gardens Playground adjacent to the Tamarind Carpark on Lagoon Street (opposite McKenzie Street).

Every coin or note left in the donation posts goes directly back to the Gardens via Gardens Friends projects and we appreciate any donation equally large or small.
