The Botanical Art Interest Group (BAIG) meets monthly at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens.

The groups aims to discover, study and record, by drawing and painting plants growing in the Botanic Gardens and within our Bioregion.

An exhibition is held annually in October at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens' Lagoons Gallery.

Herbarium Friends

The Herbarium Friends collect, record, press, dry and mount plant specimens collection from the Botanic Gardens. This fascinating process is an excellent choice for people with patience, an interest in flora, an eye for detail and specific training.
